After nearly 3 years of owning my 124 spider 4000 miles is the max i would leave it between oil changes , the car sounds a lot better with clean oil,I use the recomended Castrol oil . just my observation after 30,000 miles. Apparently there were a bad batch of thermostats in the early ‘17s. I had the f/w flash done and it didn’t fix the issue. A replacement thermostat did.
